Japanese Charts: New Pokémon Snap’s Off To A Good Start, But Resident Evil Village Is A Major Threat

Monster Hunter Rise settles for second.

Famitsu’s Japanese chart figures are now in for the two weeks spanning 26th April – 9th May, revealing that New Pokémon Snap has had a great start to life in Nintendo’s home country.

In the ten of those 14 days that Snap was available, the game managed to shift a total of 194,385 copies to top this double-week chart. Resident Evil Village sold an impressive 149,884 copies in just two days, however (it launched on 8th May), and would therefore have beaten Snap in this week’s rankings if they had been published weekly as usual.
