Creed and Black Panther star Michael B Jordan says he “bombed” his audition for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Michael B Jordan has very quickly become one of the biggest names in Hollywood in the last few years, but he nearly bagged a role in one of the most famous franchises of all time… Star Wars. The actor recently spoke to Variety to promote Without Remorse, his new action-thriller on Amazon, and wound up about revealing how he gave a terrible audition for a role in The Force Awakens.
Michael B Jordan explained that although he’s grateful for the direction his career has gone in, it hasn’t always been smooth sailing – pointing out that he “bombed” his audition for The Force Awakens. The star noted that he couldn’t get his head around the script he was given because it was far too vague in order to keep the project wrapped in secrecy. Take a look below.
“I think it was I couldn’t wrap my brain around some of the sides because you know when you’re reading for these high-level projects, there’s never really any specificity in the sides. Everything’s like super vague; everything is in secret. Reading through, I just couldn’t connect it. I definitely bombed that one for sure.”
