If the weather forecast is anything to go by, summer is just around the corner, which means it’s time to finally dredge up those linen shirts, floaty frocks and chunky sandals that have been lying dormant in the back of our wardrobes for the last 8 months. Scrolling through the new-in sections of our favourite high street brands, it’s clear that the ‘less-is-more’ aesthetic is continuing into summer 2021, but that doesn’t mean that we need scrimp on feel-good dressing.
This season Mango has really delivered on the expensive-feel basics, as seen in the below beige shirt dress and its stylish accessories. I’ll be wearing the brand’s quilted sandals all summer long.
Arket sticks to its favourite formula of wearable tailoring and minimalist silhouettes this season. I recommend mixing things up with beige separates and the odd pop of colour via a blazer of scarf.
As always, M&S is leading the charge with expensive-looking linen buys. From shirts and dresses to trousers and jackets, these pieces will keep you going all summer long and right into the autumn months (just swap out sandals for boots).
