Marvel Studios has revealed the official release dates for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Earlier today, Marvel Studios released an epic sizzle reel to tease its Phase 4 slate, revealing the first footage from Chloe Zao’s Eternals. Marvel also used the sneak peek to announce that Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is set to hit theaters on February 13, 2023, with James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 arriving that same year on May 5th. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is expected to begin production later this year after James Gunn completes his work on The Suicide Squad and its HBO Max spin-off series Peacemaker. Details regarding Vol. 3 are being kept under lock and key, but the film will likely explore the ramifications of the universe-changing events of Avengers: Endgame. It is expected to star Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki and Sean Gunn.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is set to feature the return of Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang and Evangeline Lilly’s Hope van Dyne as well as the introduction of a new Cassie Lang, played by Kathryn Newton. Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer are also confirmed to reprise their roles as Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne. The film will feature the live-action debut of Kang the Conqueror, with Lovecraft Country breakout Jonathan Majors bringing the iconic Marvel villain to life.
