DC’s Pennyworth Batman prequel series is looking to move from Epix to HBO Max for its potential third season.
Once Gotham ended, Bruno Heller and Danny Cannon set their sights on another Batman prequel series that would follow his trusted butler in his 20s. Pennyworth debuted on Epix in 2019 and recently wrapped up its second season last month. According to Deadline, the show has yet to be renewed for a third season, but if it does, Warner Bros. TV is looking to move the DC series to HBO Max.
The report states negotiations between Epix and Warner Bros. are currently underway. If Pennyworth moved from Epix to HBO Max, it would join several DC shows attached to the streamer such as Titans, Doom Patrol, Harley Quinn, Peacemaker, Green Lantern, Strange Adventures, DC Superhero High, and Matt Reeves’ Gotham PD series. The first two seasons of Pennyworth could also join the other existing content already available on HBO Max.
