Justice League director Zack Snyder opened up about which of Batman’s many costumes is his overall favorite.
It’s no secret that Zack Snyder really, really loves Batman. The Dark Knight and the Man of Steel were both the main driving forces in his version of the DC Extended Universe, and it was evidently clear that he put plenty of time and effort into crafting their precise story arcs years ahead. Many fans are still disappointed that we won’t see the rest of the director’s plans for the DCEU, but it sounded like Ben Affleck’s Batman would’ve had a fascinating journey. But in a recent interview he opened up about his favorite version of the hero.
When discussing Batsuits at Justice Con, Zack Snyder confessed that Frank Miller’s Batsuit in The Dark Knight Returns is his favorite costume in the Caped Crusader’s wardrobe. It’s not exactly a surprise, considering he’s previously spoken at length about how he’d love to make a faithful adaptation of the classic storyline. Although elements from it were clearly present in Batman v Superman. Take a look at the Justice League director discussing his favorite suit below.
“My favorite Batsuit is Dark Knight Returns. You know, basically Miller’s Batsuit…if I were to make that movie, I would make that suit exactly. And also, there was a guy, there was a cosplayer who cosplays that suit really well, I saw the other day on my feed. I forget his name. But he’s an older gentleman, and he does an incredible, he’s kind of a big guy, he does a great Dark Knight Returns. Really got the suit nailed, it looks really good. I’m like, clearly the suit can work.”
