Last month, Nintendo pulled the plug on Super Mario’s 35th-anniversary celebrations. It did this by removing Super Mario 3D All-Stars from the Switch eShop, shutting down Super Mario Bros. 35 and even ending online services for older Mario games.
Many fans are still questioning why it had to end like this, and for some, it’s even damaged their own relations with Nintendo’s iconic mascot. If you have got any feelings bottled up about this anniversary – the good news is there’s supposedly an official Nintendo survey doing the rounds at the moment, that wants to know how participating in Mario’s anniversary celebrations has influenced your own perception of him.
