The fight continues.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity was a big release for Nintendo Switch last Holiday season, and an attempt to woo the many fans of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild over to Koei Tecmo’s action-centric Musou series. It paid off, with the title rapidly becoming the best-seller in the series.
Koei Tecmo has now published its annual results, which in general trends show that the most recent financial year was a success for the company, with Age of Calamity playing a significant part (especially in the company’s sales figures outside of Japan). In the previous quarter Age of Calamity had passed 3.5 million units shipped, and now we can see that the last three months have added another 200,000 units, taking the total to 3.7 million.
