Russell Crowe revealed who which character he’s playing in Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder.
When it was announced that Russell Crowe was joining Chris Hemsworth in Thor: Love and Thunder, many fans instantly began speculating about whether he’d be a hero or a villain. But the actor himself accidentally revealed his role in a new interview ahead of his last day of filming the upcoming sequel from director Taika Waititi.
The legendary star made the reveal in an interview with Australia’s Joy 94.9 to briefly discuss working on Thor: Love and Thunder when he revealed that he’ll play Zeus in the sequel. It was previously reported that Russell Crowe’s role will only be a small appearance, and since Christian Bale is playing Gorr the God Butcher it seems likely that Zeus will be slain by the villain as he wages war against mythical beings. Take a look at Russell Crowe’s comments below.
“I’m gonna get on my bicycle. I’m gonna ride up to Disney Fox Studios, and around about 9:15, I shall be Zeus! It’s for Thor. It’s my last day of Zeus-ing about, and I’m going to enjoy it.”

Full details on the plot for Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder are currently being kept under lock and key, though the film will be partly based on Jason Aaron’s Mighty Thor comic book run, in which Jane Foster becomes the new Thor. Directed by Taika Waititi from a script he co-wrote with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman and Christian Bale.
