Scarlet Witch actress Elizabeth Olsen recently teased the horror elements of Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
When Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was first announced at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019, Kevin Feige described it as a horror film. The Doctor Strange sequel would eventually lose director Scott Derrickson but gain Sam Raimi. While Raimi is best known for his Spider-Man films, it sounds like Doctor Strange 2 gave him a chance to go back to his horror roots, according to Elizabeth Olsen.
Filming on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness already wrapped, which is shocking since we don’t know too many casting details about the film. As we wait for our first glimpse at the sequel, Elizabeth Olsen teased in a Glamour cover story what we can expect, and it will probably excite many Sam Raimi fans:
“It’s a bonkers movie, they’re definitely going for that horror show vibe.”

Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch was last seen in WandaVision:
Marvel Studios’ “WandaVision” blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany)—two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.
Matt Shakman directed the series with Jac Schaeffer as the lead scribe; WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Evan Peters as Ralph Bohner, and Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness.
WandaVision is available on Disney Plus, while Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse Madness will be released on March 25, 2022. Keep following along to stay up to date on all of the latest surrounding the MCU, and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
