Warner Bros. worked with Hacksmith to create a real version of Scorpion’s iconic weapon ahead of Mortal Kombat‘s release.
One of the most iconic phrases from Mortal Kombat aside from “Finish him!” of course, is Scorpion yelling “Get over here!” when using his iconic Kunai spear which players use to yank their opponent across the screen in brutal fashion. And the first trailer for the upcoming film revealed Hiroyuki Sanada’s fighter saying the immortal line. But Warner Bros. recently worked with the Hacksmith YouTube channel to actually build a working, real-life version of Scorpion’s weapon.
The video focuses on presenter James Hobson and the Hacksmith team building the weapon while explaining the difficulty and constraints that come with making the Kunai spear in real-life. It’s an impressive build, which definitely helps get audiences excited to see Scorpion use it in Mortal Kombat when the film debuts on HBO Max. Watch the Hacksmith video below.
