I Literally Screamed When I Saw This & Other Stories Designer Collab

The moment I saw that high-street hero & Other Stories was doing a collaboration with cult womenswear designer Rejina Pyo, I immediately messaged my fellow editors, and the response was suitably jubilant and emoji-filled. There also may have been a bit of screaming involved— don’t judge me. It’s not often that two of our favourite brands join forces to create a designer-worthy collection with high-street price points, so it was definitely a moment worth celebrating.
Known for her innovative designs that blend beauty and utility, the South Korea–born designer has long been regarded as a rising star among the fashion crowd, and she was presented with the coveted Emerging Talent Award for Womenswear at the 2019 British Fashion Awards. Well, OG fans can rest easy because the collaboration offers plenty of the signature Rejina Pyo style we know and love via soft tailoring, flowing gowns, statement sleeves and the odd pop of colour.
“With the co-lab, I wanted to create an accessible and versatile collection but, crucially, to craft it from a combination of sustainably sourced and long-lasting premium materials,” Pyo explains. “I had the busy woman in mind—constantly on the go, moving from work to play, day to night—and wanted to offer a selection of designs inspired by signature Rejina Pyo pieces.” Every member of Team Who What Wear has already selected their favourite pieces from the collection, which include the black mulberry silk off-the-shoulder midi (take note for upcoming weddings) and the linen tailored blazer and matching skirt, which is a perfect pairing for when we start to return to office life later in the summer.
“Rejina Pyo has this wonderful sense of colour and texture that she plays with in unexpected combinations, but it’s always timeless, versatile and, most importantly, wearable in so many different situations,” says Rocky af Ekenstam Brennicke, director of brand and creative at & Other Stories. “You can really see all the thought and hard work that goes into every piece of the co-lab, which we hope the & Other Stories woman will cherish and wear for a very long time.” . If our reaction (and the reaction of everyone on Instagram) is anything to go by, this isn’t a collection that will stick around for long. The whole edit drops on-site today, so make sure you don’t wait around if you want to get your hands on one of these fab pieces. Scroll down to see and shop the full collection.
