A surprise Marvel character is coming to The Falcon and The Winter Soldier in the show’s next episode.
Many Marvel fans were expecting a big cameo in WandaVision after Elizabeth Olsen’s comments were taken out of context and left disappointed. So far, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier featured some surprise cameos with Rhodey and the Dora Milaje soldier, Ayo. Showrunner Malcolm Spellman teased in an interview with Rotten Tomatoes that there is another character in episode five he would like to see team-up with Thor:
“There are characters in our series who I would love to see partnered with like — it’s a very, very grounded character — partnered with one of the big world-shakers like Thor or someone like that. The personality is so strong, it’s the episode five character. I’d love to see that character with Thor.”
The showrunner also hyped up The Falcon and The Winter Soldier episode five in a separate interview with ComicBook.com by saying:
“Hands down, [episode] five, it just gets real. And five, you’re going to cry.”
/Film is now backing up Spellman’s teases by reporting a surprise Marvel character is coming to The Falcon and The Winter Soldier who has never appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe previously, will not be in an upcoming film, and will be played by a “well-known performer.”
