Newly revealed concept art shows off what the John Stewart Green Lantern could’ve looked like in Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
Although Zack Snyder’s Justice League featured two Green Lanterns throughout the film, Yalan Gur and Kilowog, the ending scene was originally meant to see John Stewart visit Bruce Wayne instead of Martian Manhunter. Although Warner Bros. has a few Green Lantern related projects in development, it’s disappointing that John Stewart wasn’t given the opportunity to appear in the film. But a new design from a concept artist who worked on the film reveals what his suit would’ve looked like.
Jojo Aguilar took to Twitter to unveil the concept art they’d been working on with Zack Snyder for Justice League, showing off designs of Granny Goodness, Martian Manhunter, Joker and John Stewart’s Green Lantern. The cosmic cop’s suit keeps in the typical style of his comic counterpart, but makes the green sections of the costume look more like armor. Surprisingly, the director also considered bringing Ryan Reynolds back for a scene as his version of Hal Jordan, but that never materialized. Take a look at the concept art of John Stewart’s Green Lantern in Justice League below.
