The Falcon and The Winter Soldier‘s third episode featured a surprising cameo which calls back to a previous phase in the MCU.
Spoilers ahead for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier episode three.
Now that we’re halfway through The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, the series has teased a future fight between Daniel Bruhl’s Baron Zemo and an interesting figure who hasn’t been seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a while. The search for Karli Morgenthau’s super soldiers took Bucky Barnes, Sam Wilson and Baron Zemo across the world – eventually stopping in Latvia by the end of the episode. But as Zemo and Sam go find a new place to lay low, Bucky goes for a walk after spotting a bizarre techno-looking device buried in the wall.
He eventually comes face-to-face with a mysterious woman in the alleyway, who fans might remember as Ayo – one of the Dora Milaje who protect King T’Challa in Wakanda. Since Zemo was responsible for the death of the nation’s previous leader, King T’Chaka, it’s not surprising that Ayo wants to see him back behind bars. She’s played by Florence Kasumba, and has previously appeared in Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War. Take a look at the brief scene between Ayo and Bucky in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier below.
What did you make of Ayo’s cameo in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier? Do you think she’ll fight with Zemo in the next episode? Sound-off in the comments below!
