There’s been a divisive reaction over the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, with DC Extended Universe fans loving the new cut while some critics weren’t convinced. One of the biggest complaints about the film was the director’s overuse of slow-motion in scenes that didn’t feel necessary. Although slow-motion is part of Snyder’s signature style, it was clearly a little too much for some audiences. And now IGN has taken the time to record how much of the film was slow-motion.

The IGN team worked out that 10.35% of the film was slowed down for dramatic effect, working out at 24 minutes and 7 seconds exactly. That’s a staggering amount. But since Warner Bros. allowed the director to finish his vision for the film in its entirety, it isn’t surprising that he wanted to give fans everything they wanted, slow-motion included. Although for the moment it doesn’t seem like we’ll be getting Justice League 2.

What did you think to the use of slow-motion in the film? Did you enjoy the new Justice League cut? Sound-off in the comments below!

Here is the official synopsis for the Snyder Cut:

“In ZACK SNYDER’S JUSTICE LEAGUE, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.”

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
