Disney Plus will be raising its monthly subscription price starting this Friday as The Falcon and The Winter Soldier continues on the streaming service.
Among the other streaming services, Disney Plus remains one of the lowest with its monthly price for a subscription. When Disney Plus first launched in November 2019, it cost $7 a month. At Disney’s Investor Day back in December, the house of mouse announced the streaming service’s price would jump to $8.
On March 26, which is this Friday, the price of Disney Plus will officially increase to $8 a month. In addition to the monthly price increase, the Disney Plus bundle that includes Hulu and ESPN Plus will jump to $14 a month or $19 without ads. Annually, the streamer will increase from $70 to $80.
Compared to its competitors, HBO Max is on top with a price tag of $15 a month, followed by Netflix at $14 a month, and Amazon Prime at $13 a month. Meanwhile, Hulu starts at $6 a month with Paramount Plus and Peacock at $5 with ads. Apple TV Plus is also $5 a month, but without ads.
