WandaVision star Josh Stamberg thinks Director Hayward could return elsewhere in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Although Marvel fans have moved on from WandaVision now that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier has started airing on Disney Plus, but Director Hayward actor Josh Stamberg thinks the antagonist could return at some point in the future. The head of S.W.O.R.D. is responsible for creating White Vision after the events of Avengers: Infinity War, so it seems unlikely that he’d be locked away for his actions in the series.
Josh Stamberg was speaking with Entertainment Tonight about playing Director Hayward on WandaVision as well as other roles in his career. He explained that he enjoyed working on the show because of how ambitious it was, which is why he enjoyed it so much. Stamberg also pointed out that his work in other crime drama shows helped prepare him to play someone like Director Hayward in a way that was “a little more interesting.” Take a look below.
“I do pray as the creator of the White Vision that I’ll come back somehow. I would not only be disappointed, but a little surprised if I didn’t show up somewhere. I knew it was a really big swing and ambitious. That’s what I liked about it. I could see this was something really special. And fortunately, all of those other roles had somewhat prepared me to hopefully make this a little more interesting.”

Matt Shakman directed the series with Jac Schaeffer as the lead scribe; WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Evan Peters as Ralph Bohner, and Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness. Marvel’s Kevin Feige has said that the series leads into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
