Disney Plus announced The Falcon and The Winter Soldier became the streaming service’s most-watched premiere ever over the course of its opening weekend.
For a good year, The Mandalorian was Disney Plus’s only claim to fame, which still gave the streamer a ton of success. Disney Plus’ first year was also supposed to include the debut of Marvel Studios’ television projects with The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and WandaVision. After the COVID-19 release date shuffle, WandaVision came out first to great success, and it looks like Marvel Studios’ historic winning streak will continue.
Disney Plus announced on Monday the premiere episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was the most-viewed in the streaming service’s young history during its opening weekend. The streamer didn’t provide any numbers as the series joins the likes of WandaVision and The Mandalorian in massive viewership.
