Warner Bros. Games has pushed back the release of Gotham Knights, which was announced at DC FanDome last year.
At DC FanDome last year, DC fans were ecstatic to learn that a new game was in the works revolving around the rest of the Bat-Family for once rather than the titular Caped Crusader. Gotham Knights, which lets players become Nightwing, Robin, Red Hood and Batgirl, teased a storyline involving the Court of Owls and the death of Batman. But unfortunately, Warner Bros. has announced that the game has been delayed and will no longer arrive this year.
The Gotham Knights Twitter account broke the news that the game will now arrive at some point in 2022, explaining to DC fans that the studio needs more time to make the game the best possible experience for players. And although it initially sounds like bad news, a delay means the developers won’t be stretched thin as they rush to meet a release – it’s disappointing that it’ll take a little longer for the game to arrive but it’s for the right reasons. Take a look below.
