The Falcon and The Winter Soldier star Daniel Bruhl discusses what Baron Zemo’s been up to since the end of Captain America: Civil War.
With Daniel Bruhl’s Baron Zemo returning to cause trouble for Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier on Disney Plus, many fans are wondering what the villain’s been up to in the time since Captain America: Civil War. As you might be remember, the last time we saw Zemo he was going being locked up by Everett Ross and the Joint Counter Terrorist Centre.
When speaking to Entertainment Weekly about coming back to play Baron Zemo after Civil War, Daniel Bruhl explained that the villain’s time in prison has given him plenty of time to mull over his motivations, noting that “he’s up to no good.” The star also called back to Zemo’s original lust for revenge over the death of his family thanks to the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Take a look below.
“He’s had a lot of time in that prison cell to read a lot, to think a lot. So, you can be sure that he’s up to no good. It is true that Zemo in the past, and possibly also in the present, is strictly against super-soldiers, because he has seen the danger that this can cause. That is why he has lost his whole family in the Sokovian war. This is something that bothers Zemo and makes him think a lot.”
