Iron Man 3 star Guy Pearce revealed he’d love to return as Aldrich Killian in a future Marvel project.
Iron man 3 feels so long ago compared to the current state of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but Guy Pearce recently explained that he’d love to come back to the sandbox as the founder of A.I.M. – Aldrich Killian. He was last seen experimenting with Extremis (a serum which created fiery, unstable super soldiers) and was killed at the end of Iron Man 3 after falsely calling himself the Mandarin, it would be a little difficult to explain why he’s suddenly returned – but not impossible of course.
Iron Man 3 and Avengers: Endgame star Gwyneth Paltrow also recently revealed she’d also be happy to come back to the MCU, as long as it was a small part. But if Marvel Studios were to bring Guy Pearce’s Aldrich Killian back into the fold it would need to be something pretty substantial – if only to explain how he returned from the dead. There’d definitely be room to explore that further in something like Don Cheadle’s Armor Wars series – which will examine what happens when nefarious figures get their hands on Stark Tech. But when speaking to Screen Rant, Pearce explained that he had a great time working with marvel so he’d love to reprise the role.
“I would certainly consider reprising [the role] if they were interested in doing so. It was fantastic. It was great. I love playing that character. I loved working with Robert, of course, and Shane, our director, and Gwyneth who is adorable. I had a really, really great time. Who knows how we could do that?”
