Paul Bettany Vision WandaVision Matt ShakmanWandaVision star Paul Bettany opened up about what’s in store for Vision in the MCU after the end of the series and if he’ll return to play him.

WandaVision has really impressed fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with how it told Wanda Maximoff’s story of grief and trauma while also pushing her forward into fully becoming the Scarlet Witch. But Paul Bettany’s performance as Vision has been praised just as much as Elizabeth Olsen’s, and rightly so. But in a recent interview following the shocking finale (and those two fascinating post-credits scenes) Bettany revealed to Esquire what might be in store for Vision in the MCU in the future. He explained that we’ve already seen what happened to Wanda when she has a life without love, and it might be time to see more from the emotionless Vision.

“Well, f*ck. How do I do this without spoilers? I guess we’ve seen what happens to Wanda when love is taken away from her. And I wonder what that would look like with Vision.”

When specifically asked about whether he’d be interested in returning as White Vision in future MCU projects, Paul Bettany simply answered “I love Vision, yes, I’m in.” But when it comes to what the resurrected Synthezoid would be going through after the events of WandaVision, Bettany offered an idea from the character’s perspective – explaining that this new version doesn’t know what grief is. Take a look below.

“I mean, that’s the thing, right? I’ve never had a loved one to lose…I don’t know what grief is because I’ve never had a loved one to lose. There is so much to get into with him because it’s been ten minutes here, ten minutes there, in the movies. Now we’re sort of just starting to sort of peel back some stuff.”
