Netflix revealed the first photos from the live-action adaptation of Mark Millar and Frank Quitely’s Jupiter’s Legacy series.
Ever since Wanted and Kick-Ass, there’s been a number of studios who have been interested in bringing Mark Millar’s work to both big and small screens. But after the writer inked a deal with Netflix, the streaming platform began developing one of Millar’s most sprawling superhero stories as a TV series; Jupiter’s Legacy. The comics follow the children of the world’s most famous Caped Crusaders as they struggle to deal with the weight of the expectations that are put upon them because of who their parents are. And after being in development for several years, the first proper look at Jupiter’s Legacy has been revealed by Netflix.
The streaming service took to Twitter with a brief teaser which showed off several stills of heroes in The Union, a superhero team which has operated since the 1930s. The official images from Jupiter’s Legacy reveal a detailed look at heroes like The Utopian (Josh Duhamel), his wife Lady Liberty (Leslie Bibb) and his older brother Brainwave (Ben Daniels). But most importantly, the photos also show off Andrew Horton, who plays The Utopian’s son, Brandon Sampson, and his sister Chloe, played by Elena Kampouris. The teaser revealed that Jupiter’s Legacy debuts on Netflix in just a few months time on May 7. Take a look at the photos from the Mark Millar series below.
