So Many Influencers Can’t Be Wrong—These Really Are the Perfect Gold Hoops

I’ve never been much of a jewellery person—I always prefer to stick to a small number of hard-working pieces that I can throw on with any outfit on any given day. Within this selection, the gold hoop is probably the style I rely on the most, whether it’s for heading out for drinks (ah those were the days) or adding polish to a chunky knit when WFH. Hunting down the perfect pair, however, is an unexpectedly difficult task, as so many things come into play: Size, width, price, shape, and material. In my experience, finding a sweet spot in the middle of this Venn diagram is all but impossible.

But then along came Missoma, the mid-market jewellery brand that has been adorning the ears (necks, fingers, wrists and hands) of the industries’ most stylish individuals since its inception in 2008. And it has been a particular pair of hoops from said brand that have caught my eye this season. Coming in a chunky silhouette and featuring a gold-plated finish, it’s just the right hint of metallic that every outfit needs, whether it’s a spring dress or casual weekend get-up. The sheer number of influencers who have been spotted in these hoops is only further confirmation of their versatility—just scroll down to see the different ways they’ve been styled. So whether you’re looking for a gift that won’t disappoint or simply something to treat yourself with this spring, you really can’t go wrong with these babies. Scroll down to shop the hoops and other similar styles.

Gold hoops are the perfect way to add polish to a casual sweater, as seen on Lesley.

A chunky vintage cardi will instantly feel contemporary with the addition of gold jewellery.

We’re getting all the chic workwear vibes from Tamu’s tailored trousers-and-crew-neck-knit get-up. Missoma’s hoops finish the look off nicely.

Anne Laure Mais shows that a simple hoop is sometimes all a dramatic party dress needs to shine.

We’ll be taking our cues from Slip into Style this weekend, with a black cardi, jeans and plenty of layered gold jewellery.
