Kevin Feige recently addressed the future of Marvel characters from Agents of SHIELD and the canceled Netflix shows during Disney Plus’ TCA presentation.
As time goes on, Marvel Studios retrieves the characters that were previously in Netflix shows following their cancellation. With characters like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, The Punisher, and Iron Fist back in the hands of Marvel Studios, the question of when and how they will appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe remains.
At Disney Plus’ TCA presentation on Wednesday, Kevin Feige was asked that very question. Per Decider, here’s what the Marvel Studios chief had to say about the current rights situation of the Netflix characters:
“I think we probably could. I think a lot of that stuff comes back to us. … I’m not exactly sure of the exact contracts. But perhaps some day.”
Characters from Agents of SHIELD have also been desired and even rumored for a return—Kevin Feige also touched on that:
“There are often rumors that are true and there are often rumors that are not. It was great fun to have Clark Gregg come back to the MCU in Captain Marvel… Everything else, we’ll just have to see.”
