Brec Bassinger is heading to The CW this summer as Stargirl season two has been confirmed to arrive later this year.
Production is already underway on Stargirl season two, but fans finally know when the new Justice Society of America is returning to their screens. The series originally debuted on DC Universe, but as WarnerMedia decided to shift all the live-action show’s away from the platform, Stargirl is heading to The CW alongside the rest of the Arrowverse. The next season of the Brec Bassinger show will even see an appearance from John Wesley Shipp’s Jay Garrick A.K.A. Earth-2’s version of The Flash.
Back in August 2020, Brec Bassinger teased that Stargirl season two will use a different kind of threat when the heroes return, as DC villains Shade and Eclipso are coming to the series. But during a promo in the Superman and Lois premiere, The CW confirmed that Stargirl is returning to our screens this summer – just a few months away, so there’s not long to wait!

Here is the official synopsis for DC’s Stargirl:
‘DC’s Stargirl’ follows high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore (series star Brec Bassinger, “Bella and the Bulldogs,” “School of Rock,” “The Goldbergs”) as she inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. This new drama reimagines Stargirl and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in an unpredictable series. The series focuses on the character that started creator Geoff Johns’ career as a comic book writer when he created her in 1999, lovingly inspired by his late sister who was killed in a 1996 plane crash.
Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore, Joel McHale as Starman, Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan, and Meg DeLacy as Cindy Burman. The series also stars Amy Smart, Trae Romano, Cameron Gellman, Yvette Monreal, Anjelika Washington, Meg DeLacy, Neil Jackson, Jake Austin Walker, Christopher James Baker, and Hunter Sansone. Geoff Johns wrote and executive produced the 13-episode first season, with Sarah Schechter, Arrowverse boss Greg Berlanti serving as executive producers on the series.
