Tom Holland has denied that Spider-Man 3 features former Peter Parker actors Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire.
Recent rumors have claimed that Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire are in talks to return as their respective versions of Peter Parker for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3, as the film is expected to explore the Multiverse with appearances from Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus and Jamie Foxx’s Electro. However, according to Holland, Garfield and Maguire are not in the movie.
During a recent interview for his upcoming Apple TV Plus film Cherry, Esquire asked Tom Holland about the recent Spider-Man 3 rumors regarding Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire. Here’s what Holland whad to say on the matter:
“No, no, they will not be appearing in this film. Unless they have hidden the most massive piece of information from me, which I think is too big of a secret for them to keep from me. But as of yet, no. It’ll be a continuation of the Spider-Man movies that we’ve been making.”
The yet-to-be titled Spider-Man 3 is expected to pick up right after the events of its predecessor Far From Home, which ended with J. Jonah Jameson and Mysterio revealing the wall-crawler’s secret identity to the world. Holland recently shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the highly-anticipated movie and called a recent day on set a “career highlight.”

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
