‘Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3’ To Use ‘The Mandalorian’ Visual Technology

Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 The Mandalorian

Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 The MandalorianJames Gunn revealed Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 will use the same visual technology as The Mandalorian.

After The Mandalorian impressed audiences with the new screen technology which helps bring alien worlds or landscapes to life on set in an immersive way, it seems like other projects will start utilizing the same technique. Most recently James Gunn opened up about Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 on Twitter (among other The Suicide Squad related topics), revealing that the upcoming sequel will also use the same StageCraft technology in The Mandalorian.

When asked about working on Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 and if the cosmic adventure would use The Mandalorian‘s visual technology, James Gunn revealed that he’ll only use it where appropriate; “some. where it fits.” So when it arrives in 2023, don’t expect the entire sequel to use the immersive StageCraft video screens like the Star Wars TV series.
