The latest set photo from Netflix’s Stranger Things 4 reveals the surprising return of a major character.

Now that Netflix has resumed production on Stranger Things 4, a photo from the set reveals a shocking return from a major character. Thanks to the violent nature of the Demogorgon, the Mind-Flayer and the Upside Down, there’s been a number of attacks and killings throughout the three seasons so far. But the new set photo suggests that one character who was previously presumed to be dead will make a surprise return in Stranger Things 4.
The photo from ‘strangerthings4.updates’ on Instagram shows actor Matthew Modine arriving on the set of the upcoming season. Since Modine played a major role in the first season of Stranger Things as Dr. Martin Brenner and was last properly seen being attacked by the Demogorgon, it’ll be interesting to see how the show explains his return. Obviously, an illusion of Brenner made by Kali briefly taunted Eleven in season two. Take a look at the shot of Matthew Modine on Instagram below.
