Doctor Strange Scarlet Witch Avengers Endgame Kevin FeigeMarvel Studios chief Kevin Feige teased that the MCU will still explore alternate realities after Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

The upcoming Doctor Strange sequel won’t be the only future film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to explore the Multiverse, says Kevin Feige. The producer explained that alternate realities will be explored “before and after that” when discussing 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It seems likely that he’s referring to the Loki Disney Plus series and Spider-Man 3 (Which is due for release in December later this year) thanks to those rumors regarding Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

Obviously with Scarlet Witch’s reality-altering abilities, Kevin Feige could also be describing a future episode of WandaVision, which is currently streaming weekly on Disney Plus. But when discussing the upcoming sequel with Rotten Tomatoes, Kevin Feige explained that there will be more connections to alternate universes. He also pointed out that given the mystical nature of Benedict Cumberbatch’s hero, he was the most logical character to tackle the problems of the multiverse properly, take a look below.

“The title of the next Doctor Strange movie is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, so that is our biggest clue that that movie will embrace the Multiverse and the madness therein, very directly. There are, as we always like to do, connections before and after that, which will remain to be seen and discovered. But it seemed appropriate that it would be Doctor Strange that takes that on in the most direct way.”

Scott Derrickson is still attached to the film as an executive producer, with Sam Raimi set to direct from a script written by Michael Waldron. The sequel will star Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Elizabeth Olsen and Xochitl Gomez.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be released on March 25th, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on Kevin Feige, the sequel and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content!
