Pedro Pascal revealed that Ant-Man director Peyton Reed helmed The Mandalorian season two finale hitting Disney Plus on Friday.
The Mandalorian season two continued the live-action Star Wars show’s trend of having big-name directors behind the individual chapters. Ant-Man‘s Peyton Reed was one of those directors involved with The Mandalorian‘s second season with the episode, “Chapter 10: The Passenger.” With all the known directors getting one episode each leading up to the finale, many Star Wars fans have been speculating as to who helmed the season finale. With a few hours to go, Pedro Pascal has now revealed who that director is.
While promoting Wonder Woman 1984 in an interview with Extra, Pedro Pascal talked about the different directors of The Mandalorian he’s worked with and let it slip that Peyton Reed was the one behind the upcoming finale coming this Friday:
“What’s amazing about it is the work that’s getting put out there by the directors. The last episode of Season 2 of The Mandalorian is Peyton Reed. Rick Famuyiwa just put out the current episode. Patty Jenkins has Wonder Woman and obviously Robert Rodriguez with We Can Be Heroes; I got real lucky. I’ve been around some really talented human beings.”
