It’s been over a decade since the last installment in the Indiana Jones franchise, and since Harrison Ford isn’t getting any younger some fans have questioned whether it’s time to recast the role or have another character lead the series. However, with Indiana Jones 5 on the horizon, one of the producers on the sequel opened up to Den of Geek about the film and noted that there’s only one person who can play the famed adventurer –  Harrison Ford.

Producer Frank Marshall discussed working with James Mangold (who follows up Steven Spielberg in directing the sequel) and explained that he’s excited to see the great story that he comes up with. Marshall confirmed that there will only be one Indiana Jones, referring to Harrison Ford. Ford has played the character in all four cinematic outings from Lucasfilm over the years. Marshall couldn’t tease what Indiana Jones 5 will revolve around though since he hasn’t seen the script yet. Although Ford had previously revealed that the story will resolve some of the hero’s history. Take a look at Marshall discussing Indiana Jones 5 below.

“Yeah, we are working on the script. There will only be one Indiana Jones and that’s Harrison Ford. What I’m excited about with Jim is a great story. I think you see that in his movies like Ford Vs Ferrari. It’s all about characters and telling a good story. So I’m excited to see what he comes up with. I haven’t seen (the script) yet so I don’t know what to tell you.”

John Williams is attached to write the score after having previously lent his talent to the past four chapters of the film series. Steven Spielberg, who directed the previous four installments of the film series, will step out of the director’s chair for the fifth entry, with Logan director James Mangold taking over directorial duties. Solo: A Star Wars Story writer Jonathan Kasdan is penning the script.
