Paying for adult amusement can become harder in the not too distant future, as Visa and MasterCard are exploring Pornhub subsequent allegations that the website enables and profits out of articles depicting rape and child sexual abuse and manipulation.
Visa and MasterCard on Sunday each issued separate statements stating they had been exploring Pornhub along with its parent firm, MindGeek, in the aftermath of a fresh report.
“We’re conscious of the allegations, and we’re actively participating with the applicable financial institutions to explore, along with participating directly with the website’s parent firm, MindGeek,” Visa informed the Associated Press about Sunday. If the analysis finds Pornhub to be in breach of this law or the firm’s existing banking arrangements, it’ll be banned from utilizing Visa for obligations.
