The soulful, R&B pop artist rocked 2020 using The Annals — which included hit tunes Wake Up Enjoy and The Way You Need It? — this shocking statement has struck lovers HARD! Inside her Instagram article from Friday, Teyana shared with a screenshot of her Spotify #2020ArtistsWrapped, revealing that she’d 162 MILLION flows across all of her tunes. She also wrote:
Y’all did this! ???? Thanks???? I ai not gone in {} of feeling under valued as a performer, getting little to no actual push against the”system”, always getting the shorter end of this pole, being overlooked, so I suggest that the record and around lol. . I am retiring this particular chapter of my narrative with all the relaxation I am able to leave with reassurance watching that all of the hard work & fire put in was really loved & encouraged somewhere on earth! To all my fans in day 1 & all of my new ones that I adore you and I thank you for all & do not worry y’know???? Alright, so allow ’back up a moment. Even though at first glance it may seem a small random she’s declaring her retirement following such a successful year, the guess is that this has EVERYTHING to do with all the 63rd Grammys nominees. Last month, once the artists had been declared, certainly no girls made the record beneath the very best R&B Album group!

Then, to make matters worse,” Music News set out a post using a fictitious headline asserting Taylor had murdered all of the man nominees. In her defense, she also wrote:
“I am not beating the man nominees. So alter the deceiving caption. I am beating the @RecordingAcad for neglecting ALL the girls that’s been putting on the job. Girls are definitely being discounted. WOMEN PLAYS A BIG PART IN CARRYING R&B. ”

Together with this crap going on in the company, no miracle Teyana feels under valued and would like to step away in your system not giving a fair opportunity to shine. Although we completely understand her choice, it’s definitely likely to be dreadful not obtaining new music out of this exceptionally gifted and amazing musician — therefore hopefully her traces of projects across the horizon may consist of brand new music in 1 manner or another.
