Who’s your target market?

Julie: The need in wanting to encourage girl from all walks of life and also to be in a position to get this done in a sustainable manner all while being in a position to return to our neighborhood was what motivated my sister and I to start Avre. Nevertheless, what’s it been like to procure financing for Avre? Is it mostly self-funded, VC-backed, or any mix of both?  

Julie: Funding for Avre is self-funded by my own sister and I. 

Post-pandemic and 5 decades later on, where would you watch Avre at the industry? 

Connie: we would like to make Avre to some lifestyle brand where we could integrate not just footwear and style, but additional products which have to do with wellness.  We’d enlarge this line to be more inclusive of everybody in the family–mom, father, and kid.  We’d also like to integrate and encourage social applications that align with that Avre is.
