WandaVision star Elizabeth Olsen recently revealed that she will begin filming Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Madness of the Multiverse next month in the United Kingdom.
We’ve known since last year that WandaVision will directly tie-into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. WandaVision will hit Disney Plus early next year while filming for the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel headed by Spider-Man director Sam Raimi is already underway. There haven’t been too many casting announcements surrounding the Doctor Strange sequel, but we do know that Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch will factor into it in some way.
During a recent interview with Condé Nast Traveller, Elizabeth Olsen shared that she is currently in the process of moving back to the United Kingdom soon to film Doctor Strange in the Madness of the Multiverse. Based on these comments, it appears Olsen will be overseas for a few months, which means Scarlet Witch could have a much bigger role in the Doctor Strange sequel than some might’ve thought.
“I feel as if British people work to live – they don’t live to work, unlike in LA and New York. I am moving back soon to film the sequel to Doctor Strange, so I’ll be there for Christmas, just outside London. Even given the current circumstances, it will be a nice trip.”
Do you think Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch is the villain of Doctor Strange 2? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below!
Here is the official synopsis for Elizabeth Olsen’s WandaVision:
