An expected hostage situation is allegedly occurring in the building where game developer Ubisoft’s Montreal office has been set.
Canadian press started reporting that a significant police operation, maybe connected to a hostage scenario, beyond the Ubisoft Montreal headquarters approximately 1:30pm Eastern time. Montreal authorities affirmed that there’s an”ongoing police performance” in the intersection at which Ubisoft Montreal stays, including,”We ask individuals to prevent the region. The SVPM is now validating data and more information will follow”
Live-streamed footage out of French-language socket LCN revealed a bunch of individuals with the roof deck from this construction behind a makeshift barricade apparently built of folding tables dangling from the entry doorway. Developer Eric Pope verified in a Tweet the people on the roof proved really Ubisoft workers, stating,”That is crazy. This is my group onto the roof”
