I’m a Shopping Specialist—These Are My 7 Go-To Brands for Chic and Cosy Knits

If there’s one item I’m living in right now, it’s unquestionably sweaters. Chic and cosy for the crisp cold-weather season, I’ve been styling mine with everything from joggers to jeansslip skirts to pyjama bottoms—they never fail to add a comfy and cool touch to my ensembles. As fashion market editor, I certainly do my fair share of testing, trying, and buying a myriad of sweater brands—from luxury designer knits to fast-fashion finds, and smaller independent brands—I’ve come to learn a thing or two about what brands are worthy of your pocket.

So if you happen to be on the hunt for a new sweater this season, below I’m sharing some of my favourite go-to brands I reach for time and time again—whether it’s for their value, quality, or beautiful silhouettes—these deserve a place in your cold-weather wardrobe.

I’m always so pleasantly surprised at the quality, warmth, and cool silhouettes that H&M’s sweaters boast. Whether you’re looking for classic styles or trending silhouettes, H&M remains a go-to when I’m looking for an affordable, chic, and cosy sweater.

Along with their basic sweaters, & Other Stories always come out with the coolest sweater silhouettes. I’m particularly partial to their vintage-inspired styles that look like you could have found at a vintage store in Paris.

Marks & Spencer offers great, affordable cashmere in so many different colours. Always a great addition to your jumper wardrobe.

I can always rely on Everlane for its easy and effortless styles that are versatile and warm. These are the kind of sweaters that never go out of style—(I’ve had mine for years!).

When it comes to classic, high-quality sweaters nothing beats the sleek silhouettes that Vince has to offer. Every year I put one on my holiday wish list.

Raey, Matches Fashion’s in-house brand, does some gorgeous sweaters. Great pieces that last.

If you’re looking for affordable, fashion-forward sweaters Topshop is a winner. The handful I own are supremely soft and have a great fit.
