Rapper King Von is dead following an early morning shootout allegedly involving two teams of guys at Atlanta.
According to the Atlanta Police Departmentthe fatal incident happened early Friday afternoon, November 6, out the Monaco Hookah Lounge at the South Downtown/Five Points area of town.
Cops say that the six people in total were shot, and three of these, such as King Von — actual name Dayvon Bennett — finally succumbed to wounds suffered in the gunfire. Police officers wound up getting involved with the shooting, also, with the initial units on scene launching fire to try to subdue the assailants.
The rapper was only 26 years old at the time of the departure.
In a statement published to E! News concerning the shooting, the Atlanta PD mentioned (under ):
“It’s our perception Dayvon Bennett, aka King Von, has been captured and killed in this afternoon ’so shooting and we’re seeing rumors spread suggesting he was captured and murdered by APD officers. At this moment, our researchers consider Mr. Bennett was captured through the first shootout between the 2 groups of men, before police reacting and trying to block the shooting. ”
