Superman Returns and Arrowverse star Brandon Routh recently addressed whether or not he would play the Man of Steel once again in Ezra Miller’s The Flash.
Crisis on Infine Earths is looking more and more like a turning point for DC in live-action. The Arrowverse crossover event saw the return of various actors from other DC franchises reprise their roles from the TV and movie side. Most notably, Crisis brought back Brandon Routh as Superman while Ezra Miller shocked audiences by coming face to face with Grant Gustin’s The Flash.
Ezra Miller’s The Flash is adding many notable names like Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton, both back as their versions of Batman, but what about Superman? While it’s unclear what DC films Henry Cavill’s Superman will appear in, The Flash could also feature Brandon Routh’s Kingdom Come Superman since the film is dealing with the multiverse in a big way. Here’s what Routh had to say on Geek House Show about the prospect of playing Superman in The Flash:
“Can we? I mean yeah I think that’s always a possibility. Of course, they’re bringing in Michael Keaton, which I’m excited about, and some other people from the past DC projects. I think it’s very exciting – it worked really well in “Crisis On Infinite Earths,” and I was extremely proud and honored to be a part of it and to reprise my Superman. So it’s absolutely a possibility – you can do anything! Everybody lives and dies all the time in those things.”

But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
