Fortune and Refinitiv Combine forces to Induce diversity Coverage

Great morning.

That is the reason Fortune and Refinitiv are teaming up to urge organizations to take the initial step toward attaining complete racial and cultural diversity and inclusion at the office: Measure upward.

Considering that the killing of George Floyd, we have seen an outpouring of concern with corporate leaders regarding equity, diversity and improvement.

But here is the thing: that the huge majority of organizations do not openly report metrics about how they’re executing in their DEI duties. Step Up is an attempt to change this. We’ll challenge organizations to report these crucial metrics, via Refinitiv’s ecological, social and corporate governance information systems. And we’ll include that information as part of our Fortune 500 record, and next year release a fresh list identifying the absolute most Progressive Firms in Racial Inclusion. We’ll use Refinitiv to present data-driven insights, and also to host discussions with corporate leaders about vital issues regarding the challenge.

Refinitiv CEO David Craig stated he considers”the corporate sphere {} to find change and knows how critical diversity is at developing sustainable and successful businesses. However, attempts to handle minority under-representation at work will likely fall flat unless firms first have a precise image of the racial makeup.” Measure Up can help the corporate universe”meet its promises and also respond to the cries for change which have only grown louder in the aftermath of the murder of George Floyd.”

Craig and Fortune‘s Ellen McGirt will unveil the newest venture later now at our CEO Initiative, which I composed about Friday. It is a hectic day for us{} the CEO Initiative finishes, we’ll go into our digital Fortune International Forum. I will be interviewing CEO Larry Culp of all one-time-giant General Electric concerning his attempts to turn the Business around in the Middle of a pandemic. (Send me some inquiries!)

Extended moment. More information below.
