Legendary Batman star Michael Keaton discussed whether he’ll reprise his role as the caped crusader for Ezra Miller’s The Flash.
Fans were surprised to learn earlier this year that Michael Keaton is in talks to don the cape and cowl once more to team-up with Ezra Miller in The Flash. The star recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to talk about The Trial of the Chicago 7 when the host asked him how he feels about returning to the iconic role thirty years after he first played Bruce Wayne in 1989’s Batman. If he does indeed step into a Batsuit once more, he’ll be joined by Ben Affleck‘s Batman – who is set to be a mentor to Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen.
Although the star also discussed what it’s like working with the creative powerhouses of Aaron Sorkin and Larry David on his latest film, Michael Keaton noted that he couldn’t reveal much about whether he’ll return as Batman, nsaying “I can’t confirm anything.” Although he did go on to joke about Jimmy Kimmel joining him as a new version of Robin. But Keaton then explained that he’s still discussing the possibility with Warner Bros.
“So, we’re having discussions as they say. We’re talking about it. We’ll see if that happens.”

Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson, The Flash will be inspired by the Flashpoint comic storyline which followed The Flash as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and penciled by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint radically altered the status of the DC Comics universe and led to the launch of the New 52 titles. It is currently unknown how much inspiration the upcoming Ezra Miller film will take from the comic.
The Flash is set to hit theaters on June 3rd, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on The Flash and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more exclusive video content.
