Last week, Google found a second, more affordable version of its Wi-Fi-mesh product lineup. A bit more than a year following the addition of Nest Wi-Fi, this brand new product lineup resurrects the first Google Wi-Fi branding and can be offered in a single -, two-, or even three-piece sets.
For the large part, the newest Google Wi-Fi appears pretty much like the first –every gadget is a small, squat white canister sporting dual gigabit Ethernet interfaces, dual-band 802.11ac, AC1200 (Wireless Fidelity, 2×2) radios, and combined with Bluetooth Low-Energy support. The 2020 variant of Google Wi-Fi includes a very simple DC diameter jack set of this USB-C charging interface on the first edition.
The costlier Nest Wi-Fi provides an integrated smart speaker in every node along with a milder Wi-Fi backhaul pipe{} both Nest Wi-Fi along with Google Wi-Fi have been dual-band 802.11ac (Wi-Fi ), the 5GHz radio at the costlier Nest Wi-Fi is 4×4, providing dual the backhaul (link to another node closer to the Web ) throughput.
