Noted cybersecurity bizarre John McAfee is under arrest in Spain awaiting extradition to the United States after being indicted on federal tax evasion charges.

The Department of Justice unsealed the indictment (PDF) yesterday after McAfee’s arrest by Spanish police at Barcelona’s airport on the weekend.

The filing stated that McAfee intentionally not simply avoided paying national taxes from taxation years 2014 through 2018 but tried to conceal substantial funds in the IRS. He supposedly concealed these resources –including a yacht, a car, property, bank account, and cryptocurrency–{} and titling them beneath”the title of a nominee.”
