Machine Gun Kelly has changed ammo and is now firing a different type of musical bullet.
On Tickets to My Downfall, MGK turns his back on rap and takes on a pop-punk sound.
The new album, his fourth, dropped early Friday and features 15 songs. From start to finish, Tickets to My Downfall races at a speedy 36-minutes running time and collaborators include Halsey, Trippie Redd, blackbear and iann dior.
The Cleveland native recently spoke with Howard Stern about the new LP. “I make a pop-punk record … and everyone’s like, ‘You switched genres!’,” he said on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show. “To me, I just added on to the multiple things I’ve already done anyway, but, sure, what a narrow-minded way to look at things.”
