Selena Gomez, among the strongest celebrities on social networking, went people Friday night (Sept. 18) using a personal message she delivered to Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg.
Gomez, that sees 193 million followers on Facebook-owned Instagram and over 77 million on Facebook, posted the concept about Instagram Stories, calling {} Facebook founder and CEO along with Sandberg, chief operating officer, also using a request to initiate a conversation about the hot button topics of misinformation and hate speech.
“We’ve got a significant issue. Facebook and Instagram have been used to propagate hatred, hatred, racism, and bigotry,” she composed, two weeks following a substantial drive by celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Jamie Foxx, Kerry Washington, Sacha Baron Cohen, Mark Ruffalo, Dwyane Wade Katy Perry to encourage #StopHateforProfit by blacking their societal networking actions.
“I’m calling you to HELP STOP THIS. Please close down users and groups concentrated on distributing hatred speech violence and violence. Our future depends upon it. ”
Gomez subsequently noted that the upcoming election46 times from today.
“We cannot afford to get misinformation regarding votes,” she lasted. “There needs to become fact-checking and liability. Hope to listen from you ASAP. ”
