Keith Urban and P!nk spend far too long consuming alone with their brand new duet “One Too Many. ” Even the boozy, regret-filled state pop ballad that fell Tuesday (Sept. 15) discovers out the singers taking turns sitting on a barstool and wondering exactly how the love dropped.
“I invest my cash drinking in my, yeah/ From this pub, just sat staring at my telephone And that I keep second guessing, where did I go wrong? / I understand I’m joyful / However I’ve ever had one too much / Come take me ” they sing in excellent harmony on the chorus of this tune they’ll debut reside in Wednesday night’s (Sept. 16) 55th yearly Academy of Country Music awards show.
The tune, composed by Cleo Tighe, Daniel Davidsen, James Norton, Mich Hansen and Peter Wallevik and created from Urban, PhD, Cutfather and Dan Mccarroll, chugs along above a midtempo beat as P!nk requires the moment, been-here-before poetry.
