‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’: Hyundai Ad Features Hilarious Mysterio Easter Egg

A Spider-Man: No Way Home tie-in ad with Hyundai features a hilarious Mysterio easter egg.

Marvel Studios is no stranger to having its films participate in cross-promotional advertising, especially with car companies. The latest tie-in ad for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home sees Spidey in a desperate search for a ride. Luckily, a Hyundai with his best bud Ned in the driver’s seat pops up. Before that, Spidey has to learn a thing or two about never leaving areas without skyscrapers.

The ad begins with Peter Parker inside of a motel outside of New York as he’s watching a newscast of J. Jonah Jameson demeaning the web-slinger for being in hiding. Parker decides it’s time to clear his name and exits his room in his Spider-Man suit. Parker then throws out a web, only for it to go nowhere, as there are no tall structures nearby.

Defeated, Spidey begins to hike towards New York, singing a sullen rendition of the Spider-Man theme from the 60s. As he’s walking, he spots a scarecrow with a fishbowl on his head, which looks a lot like Mysterio. Spidey then throws a web at the Mysterio scarecrow, before a Hyundai pulls up. In it lies his friend Ned, who takes him back to the big city.
