‘Spider-Man’ Star Tom Holland Breaks Silence On ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ Cameo

Spider-Man star Tom Holland has finally spoken about his character’s cameo in Tom Hardy’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

Since Venom made its debut in 2018 the big question that has been on everyone’s mind is if the character would crossover with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. For a time it seemed as if that answer was no. But then the after-credits ending for Venom: Let There Be Carnage happened and renewed these questions.

SPOILER ALERT FOR VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE!

At the end of the film, Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock and Venom are back in his apartment. Then the news story that reveals Spider-Man’s identity to the world from Far From Home appears on their TV and Venom approaches this TV saying “That guy…” before licking the screen. The scene effectively confirmed that some kind of plan for the two to crossover was in the works even though nothing has been officially announced.

In a recent interview with Total Film, Tom Holland addressed this appearance and if he was aware of any Spider-Man/Venom film that was in the works:

“I genuinely don’t know. It was really exciting to be a part of that film. Obviously, Tom Hardy is one of the greatest actors in the world. I’m happy to say that he’s a lovely bloke. But I haven’t really given it very much thought.”

Here is the synopsis for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home:

“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is umasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.”

Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Alfred Molina.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will hit theaters on December 17, 2021. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the future of the franchise and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
